I was appalled to see a dealer doing the card trick for a customer in a camera shop a few weeks ago. Not only did it not work, it slowed down loading and made it more difficult. It seems there are so many tricks to avoid trimming the leader - for what reason I cannot understand. Done the way the manuals say and loading can be done in 30 seconds or less ...
